A folding multi-tool comprising first and second generally channel-shaped handles each having first and second ends, each generally channel-shaped handle having an open side and an at least partly closed side opposite the open side, the at least partly closed sides comprising plier-receiving openings. The folding multi-tool also includes pliers including first and second plier halves pivotally and adjustably mounted to each other, with the plier halves being pivotally mounted between flanges at the first ends of the handles. Control straps extend between the flanges for limiting the maximum pivotal movement of the plier halves and for frictionally resisting pivotal movement of the plier halves. The folding multi-tool is foldable between a closed, compact configuration and an opened, extended configuration for operating the pliers and in the opened, extended configuration the open sides of the handles face each other.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to a computer-implemented system and method for facilitating electronic market participation of traders. The algorithmic trading management system may comprise an algorithm and/or sequence usage and construction module providing conditional user interface features for allowing traders to construct algorithms or sequences to structure trading orders. The system may additionally include sequence modification components for allowing traders to modify algorithms collected from external sources in order to customize trading orders. The system may further include operator intervention tools for allowing traders to manually influence sequence execution through a user interface.

An apparatus for mounting an outboard motor on the transom of a boat so that the motor can be raised and lowered on the transom. The apparatus comprises two slidably connected brackets, one for securing to the transom of the boat and one for carrying the outboard motor, and a hydraulic actuating cylinder connected between the two brackets for moving the motor mounting bracket along a vertical line relative to the bracket secured to the transom. A reversible hydraulic pump is provided for operating the hydraulic actuating cylinder.

A business process and computer system known as the “Target Pricing System” (TPS) that generates an optimum bid or value for a competitively bid good or service. The system is resident on one or more host processors in connection with one or more data stores, and includes a product model that defines list values for the bid using stored price data and costs the values using stored cost data, a competitor net price model that calculates an equivalent competitor net price for the value, and a market response model that calculates the probability of winning with the value as a function of price. The system further preferably includes an optimization model that computes the target price of an optimal value that maximizes expected contribution for the bid or value. The system alternately further includes a benefits model for calculating the benefits of using target pricing over a pre-existing approach, and strategic objects which each affect the target price.

Disclosed is a system for controlling a numerically controlled machine tool sysem from a PC type computer system of the kind using an 8088 microprocessor chip and 8-bit words. The system includes an inverter timing board which is inserted into the PC equipment for conditioning signals from the parallel port of the computer into signals having wave forms of selected time length comforting to the numerical control tape code which is acceptable by the numerical control equipment at the machine tool.
