    摘要: An optical waveguide comprises a linear metallic thin film having a light delivering unit coupled to one end thereof, through which light is incident; and at least more than two dielectric layers surrounding the metallic thin film. In the optical waveguide, an effective refractive index and a propagation loss in the metallic thin film is reduced so that long-range light transmission is realized. Further, a loss of light caused by the coupling to optical fiber, which is coupled to one end of the metallic thin film, is simultaneously reduced.

In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the mouse for inputting information to a computer including a monitor can include a touch detector coupled to one surface of a case, a driver, which vibrates the touch detector in a direction parallel to one surface of the touch detector such that a tactile feel of a surface of the touch detector is changed, and a controller, which controls an operating frequency of the driver. Thus, the mouse can provide the user with a better sensation that the tactile feel changes at the portion that the user touches.

The method can include: forming a light emitting structure, which includes an N-type semiconductor layer, an active layer, and a P-type semiconductor layer stacked together, on a substrate; processing a division groove in the shape of a dotted line from the direction of the substrate or from the direction of the light emitting structure; and dividing the substrate and the light emitting structure along the division groove by applying pressure to at least one of the substrate and the light emitting structure. Embodiments of the invention can prevent total reflection for light emitted through the sides, and as a result, the light emitting efficiency can be improved.
