摘要： A card edge connector (100) includes an elongate insulative housing (1), a plurality of signal contacts (3) and a pair of power contacts (4) retained in the insulative housing (1). The insulative housing (1) defines a pair of opposed side walls (11) and a central slot (13) between the side walls (11). Each side wall (11) defines a plurality of passageways (110) communicating with the central slot (13). Each signal contact (3) has an engaging portion (32) exposed to the central slot (13.) Each power contact (4) has a securing portion (41) retained in the insulative housing (1), a plurality of contact portions (42) extending upwardly and sidewardly into the central slot (13) from the securing portion (41) and arranged in a row along a length direction of the insulative housing (1), and at least one tail portion (43) extending downwardly from another end of the securing portion (41).

摘要： A connector (100) includes an insulative housing (1) having a pair of side walls (10) with a central slot (11) formed therebetween, a set of terminals (5) including first terminals (51) and second terminals (52) and a spacer (3). Each side wall has a set of passageways (12). Each first terminal has a first contacting portion (511) protruding into the central slot, a first tail portion (513) mounted on a PCB, and a first connecting portion (512). The first connecting portions and the first tail portions are arranged in two rows. Each second terminal has a second contacting portion (521) protruding into the central slot, a second tail portion (523) mounted on the PCB, and a second connecting portion (522). The second connecting portions and the second tail portions are arranged in another two rows. The spacer (3) has a set of first protrusions (31) and forms a plurality of first grooves (32) located between each two adjacent first protrusions. The first protrusions each has a second groove (33) formed thereon. The spacer defines a set of second protrusions (34) and forms a plurality of third grooves (35) located between each two adjacent second protrusions (34). The second protrusions each has a fourth groove (36) formed thereon.

摘要： A card edge connector for mating with an electronic card includes an elongated housing, a number of contacts and a retainer retained to the housing. The housing has a pair of side walls, a central slot between the side walls and a fitting section upwardly extending at one end thereof. The fitting section defines a first U-shaped cavity downwardly extending from a top end thereof and a mounting slot upwardly extending from a lower end thereof and located at outside of the first cavity. The first cavity communicates with the central slot along a length direction of the housing to receive the electronic card. The retainer is retained in the mounting slot and has a locking projection protruding into the first cavity to lock with the electronic card. The mounting slot does not extend through the fitting section to make the retainer hidden in the fitting section.
