Abstract: A platinum-gallium based catalyst for alkane dehydrogenation is provided with an oxidation promotor in the form of cerium that is added to the catalyst composition to improve the regeneration thereof. The cerium is preferably added to the catalyst composition in an amount from 0.001 to 0.5 wt %.
