Abstract: A switching apparatus for providing a single-pair Ethernet (SPE/T1-Ethernet) connection, has a first interface (I1) and second interface (I2), wherein the first interface is a multi-pole and in particular a MIL or RMII interface, and the second interface is a dual-pole SPE/T1-specific interface.
