Abstract: In an example, a method is disclosed for redirecting a print job. The method includes monitoring status of a plurality of printers on a network, determining that a first printer of the plurality of printers that is responsible for a print job is not suitable for processing the print job, and selecting a second printer of the plurality of printers to process the print job. The method further includes generating a flow table modification message for a network flow corresponding to the print job to redirect the network flow to the second printer and sending the flow table modification message to a network device on the network.

Abstract: Examples described herein relate to improved powering down of PoE interfaces in a network device. In response to detecting a fault that interrupts a flow of power from the PSUs to one or more of the PoE interfaces, the examples determine a total operational power value based on an operational power value of each operational PSU of the PSUs and determine a total available power value based on the total operational power value and a reserved power value. For each of the PoE interfaces, the examples determine whether a threshold power value for the PoE interface exceeds the total available power value and power down the PoE interface in response to determining that the threshold power value for the PoE interface exceeds the total available power value.

Abstract: Examples described herein provide improved power down of PoE interfaces. Examples described herein may set a power fault value for each of a plurality of PSUs, and set a power threshold value for each of a plurality of PoE interfaces. Examples described herein may detect a fault that interrupts a flow of power from a subset of the PSUs to at least one of the PoE interfaces, and based on detecting the fault, for each PSU in the subset of the PSUs, add the power fault value for the PSU to a total power fault value. Examples described herein may, for each of the PoE interfaces, determine whether the total power fault value satisfies the power threshold value for the PoE interface, and based on a determination that the total power fault value satisfies the power threshold value for the PoE interface, power down the PoE interface.
