Abstract: An enzymatic purification method involves the introduction of a sample comprising a target analyte and amino acids into a porous matrix of a reaction chamber. The reaction chamber includes first pores and second pores. The first pores contain polypeptide synthesis enzymes that react with the amino acids to form polypeptides. First pores having a first size to be accessible by amino acids but inaccessible by the subsequently formed polypeptides. The second pores have a second size greater than the first size, are in contact with the first pores and form a series extending from within the reaction chamber to a waste chamber. The formed polypeptides are migrated through the series of second pores to the waste chamber. The target analyte of the sample is extracted from the reaction chamber.

Abstract: An apparatus of an enzymatic sample purifier can include a reaction chamber containing a polypeptide synthesizing enzyme capable of reacting with a protein degradation product to form polypeptides having a size of at least 1,000 Da and including the protein degradation product, the reaction chamber having a port configured to receive a fluid sample including a target analyte having a size of no greater than 500 Da and the protein degradation product. The apparatus can also include a product chamber, an electrophoretic transport mechanism to move a purified portion of the fluid sample including the target analyte to the product chamber, and a separator positioned to retain the formed polypeptides resulting from reaction of the protein degradation product with the polypeptide synthesizing enzyme in the reaction chamber and to pass the target analyte to the product chamber, wherein the separator comprises a porous matrix.

Abstract: A method may include sensing first data samples from a first set of different subjects having a membership in a target class and sensing second data samples from a second set of different subjects not having a membership in the target class, wherein each of the first data samples and the second data samples includes a composite of individual data features. The individual data features from each composite of the first data samples and the second data samples are extracted and quantified. Sets of features and associated weightings of a target class model are identified based upon quantified values of the individual features from each composite of the first samples and the second samples to create a model representing a fingerprint of the target class to determine membership status of a sample having an unknown membership status with respect to the target class.
