Abstract: A printing system includes a printbar having an extension contact, a platen having a platen contact, and a controller to execute instructions. The instructions as executed by the controller cause the printbar to move toward the platen, monitor an adjustment mechanism indicating operation parameters of the adjustment mechanism, and set a reference position of the printbar in response to the parameter satisfying a threshold. A printing system comprising: a printbar including contact extension; a platen disposed opposite the printbar, the platen having a platen contact; and a controller to execute a set of instructions to: cause the printbar to move toward the platen; monitor an adjustment mechanism indicating operation parameters of the adjustment mechanism; and set a reference position of the printbar in response to the parameter of the adjustment mechanism satisfying a threshold.

Abstract: A fluid level sensing system includes: a sensor electrode to extend into a fluid reservoir, the sensor electrode including (i) a first segment of a first material having a first conductivity, and (ii) a second segment of a second material having a second conductivity; and a controller connected to the sensor electrode, to: detect a response from the sensor electrode to an input applied to the fluid reservoir; and determine, based on the response, which of the first and second segments are in contact with fluid in the fluid reservoir.

The instructions may cause the controller to predict that a user is to instruct a printing device to perform a printing operation, in which the printing device includes a dryer, identify the user in response to the prediction, to access a user profile corresponding to the identified user, in which the accessed profile identifies a type of document that the identified user typically prints, and to adjust a setting of the dryer according to the identified type of document in the accessed profile.

Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a nontransitory computer readable medium storing machine readable instructions that when executed by the processor may cause the processor to receive a requested power demand from a first heating component and a second heating component, compare the requested power demand to a first threshold, and select a sequencing and stacking group of a plurality of sequencing and stacking groups for the first heating component and the second heating component corresponding to a result of the requested power demand being compared to the first threshold. The instructions may also cause the processor to control application of power to the first heating component and the second heating component according to the selected sequencing and stacking group.

Abstract: An example of apparatus to adjust an offset is provided. The apparatus also includes a printing device to generate a plurality of print jobs. The apparatus also includes an output bin to catch the plurality of print jobs. The apparatus includes a motor to move the output bin, wherein the output bin alternates between a first position and a second position between each print job of the plurality of print jobs. The apparatus also includes a controller to control the motor, wherein the controller is to update the position data based on the sensor data to provide uninterrupted operation of the printing device after the sensor detects the obstacle.
