Abstract: Example connection ports for electronic devices are disclosed. In an example, the connection port includes a longitudinal axis, a receptacle that extends axially with respect to the longitudinal axis, and a substrate disposed within the receptacle. The substrate includes an end and a support surface that extends axially with respect to the longitudinal axis. In addition, the connection port includes a plurality of first electrical contacts on the support surface, a plurality of second electrical contacts on the end. Each second electrical contact is electrically coupled to a corresponding one of the first electrical contacts.

Abstract: In some examples, a tool-less electronic component retention apparatus includes a bracket to affix to a circuit board, and a spring-loaded arm attached to the bracket. The spring-loaded arm has an engagement tab that is angled downwardly to engage an upper surface of an electronic component to mount the electronic component to the circuit board. The spring-loaded arm is pivotable between an engaged position and a release position by a user without use of a tool.
