    摘要: A superconducting material having a critical temperature higher by 3* to 5*K than that of and a critical current density several times higher than that of Nb3Ga provided by replacing a part of atoms in the Ga sites of Nb3Ga with atoms of one of Al, Mn, Sb, and Y and, when required, replacing a part of atoms in the Nb sites with Ta atoms and by subjecting this intermetallic compound to an aging process at 800*C for 300 hours. This material has a Beta -W type crystal structure similarly to Nb3Ga.

    摘要: A method of producing a superconducting strip, comprising continuously passing a superconducting wire or tape through a mold, casting a molten stabilizing metal for said wire into said mold, cooling the molten stabilizing metal during its passage through said mold along the travelling path of said wire with said wire embedded therein to thereby solidify said molten stabilizing metal in close contact with said wire and continuously drawing the resultant superconducting strip from said mold; and an apparatus for practicing said method. The superconducting strip produced according to the present invention is free from breakage of the wire, has highly uniform and excellent properties and can be produced at lower cost than the conventional ones.

    摘要: Intermetallic compound superconducting materials having a stable Beta -W type crystal structure represented by a general formula of A3B brought into their closest packed structure and having high critical temperatures in which a part of the atoms either in the A-sites or in the B-sites are replaced by the atoms of a tetra-, penta- or hexa-valent transition metal so that the ratio between the average atomic radius of the atoms in the A-sites and that of the atoms in the B-sites lies close to 1.
