Abstract: Homo- or copolymers of cyclic acetals, especially trioxane and dioxolane, are produced by catalytically initiated polymerisation of one or more monomers. As initiators anhydrous perfluoro-alkyl sulfonic acids are used, which are dissolved in inert organic solvents. The products are thermoplastic and are suitable for producing molded articles, especially injection molded articles.
