Abstract: A resilient corrosion resistant multi-layered sealing ring member has a wrinkled outer peripheral sealing surface. The method for forming this ring comprises wrapping several layers of a readily deformable plastic tape on a mandrel and compressing the wrapped layers to substantially reduce their axial dimension.
