Abstract: The disclosure provides communication methods and apparatuses. One example method includes that after receiving a cell handover command, a terminal device determines discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration information of a target cell. The DRX configuration information of the target cell is consistent with DRX configuration information of a source cell. The terminal device exchanges data at least with the source cell based on the DRX configuration information of the source cell, or with the target cell based on the DRX configuration information of the target cell.

Abstract: A gap-free measurement method is as follows: A terminal device receives, from an access network device, configuration information used to indicate the terminal device to perform gap-free measurement on a neighboring cell of a serving cell of the terminal device. The terminal device determines, based on the configuration information, radio frequency channels of a resource unit to be measured in the neighboring cell are some or all of radio frequency channels of a second resource unit, where the second resource unit is included in a first resource unit combination, and the first resource unit combination is included in a resource unit combination that is configured for the terminal device and in an active state. The terminal device performs gap-free measurement on a first cell on some or all of radio frequency channels of the second resource unit.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to channel conflict processing methods and apparatus. In one example method, when a terminal device establishes a connection relationship with a source cell, and sends a connection request to or establishes a connection relationship with a target cell, the terminal device detects whether an uplink channel conflict occurs on an uplink channel of the source cell and an uplink channel of the target cell, where the source cell and the target cell are infra-frequency or intra-band contiguous inter-frequency. If the terminal device determines that an uplink channel conflict occurs, the terminal device sends a signal on an uplink channel with a higher priority between the uplink channel of the source cell and the uplink channel of the target cell.
