Abstract: Embodiments of the present application relate to a method and an apparatus for identification of a device in a wireless network. The method includes: using, by at least one of a user equipment, a terminal device, a radio access network device, or a core network device, an international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) or an extended international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) as a subscriber identification number.
