The reassignment of mobile subscriber identity information can be based on detecting a registration that utilizes a bootstrap mobile subscriber identity information or a registration based on a mobile subscriber identity information that the network has designated not for use by the particular communication device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for a 3G gateway. In a first embodiment, a method is disclosed for a network, comprising: receiving a relocation request message at a home nodeB gateway (HNBGW), the HNBGW coupled to an operator core network, the relocation request message including a target super cell identifier and a user equipment (UE) identifier; sending a second relocation request message from the HNBGW to a coordinating node, the coordinating node having as its identifier the target super cell identifier; querying a lookup table at the coordinating node using the UE identifier to determine a target cell identifier; replacing, in the second relocation request message, the target super cell identifier with the target cell identifier to create a third relocation request message; and sending the third relocation request message to a target cell identified by the target cell identifier.

In addition, the various examples of the present invention also include the aforementioned example and other examples.

Disclosed are network devices and methods for APN virtualization to manage the mobile devices. The network device may replace an original APN with an assigned APN by looking up the mobile device in a database, based on a device identification. The modified APN is then used in a standard DNS lookup.

摘要: Capillary network devices (i.e., IMSI-less devices) may connect to an EPC through a home WLAN. A WLAN can be configured by the homeowner to accept responsibility for the traffic or a WLAN can indicate to a network that it will allow the traffic if the traffic is sponsored by an application server or if it is compensated for the traffic by the network operator. Where an IMSI-less device has a business relationship with a network operator, a WLAN can allow the device to authenticate with the network and obtain a device identifier from the network. Where an IMSI-less device has a business relationship with a SCS that has a business relationship with the network operator, the WLAN can allow the device to authenticate with the network.
