Abstract: A route advertisement method, a network device, and a computer storage medium are provided, and pertain to the field of communication technologies. According to this application, an EVPN SRv6 route advertisement packet is extended to carry pseudo-wire identification information of an L2VPN PW between a first network device and a second network device, to help find, based on the pseudo-wire identification information, a forwarding entry associated with the L2VPN PW, and further process the forwarding entry associated with the L2VPN PW, thereby evolving an MPLS forwarding-based L2VPN VPWS into an SRv6 forwarding-based EVPN VPWS, or evolving an MPLS forwarding-based L2VPN VPLS into an SRv6 forwarding-based EVPN VPLS. In addition, the MPLS forwarding-based L2VPN VPWS or VPLS can be evolved into another type of EVPN SRv6 network.

Abstract: A packet transmission method, device, and system for network technologies are disclosed. A first network device receives, by using a first VPLS instance a packet to be sent to a user-side device connected to the second network device. The first network device forwards, based on an association relationship between the first VPLS instance and the first VPWS instance, the packet to a second VPWS instance in the second network device by using the first VPWS instance. A VPLS instance is associated with a VPWS instance in the first network device. A packet that is received by using the VPLS instance and that is to be sent to a user-side device can be forwarded by using the associated VPWS instance, so that pressure to learn a MAC address for packet transmission is reduced, and forwarding performance of the system is ensured.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a DF election method and a device. The method is performed by a first network device, and the method includes: receiving an EVPN Ethernet segment ES route advertised by a second network device, where the ES route includes an ESI, the ESI identifies an Ethernet segment, and the Ethernet segment includes a first link and a second link, where the first network device and the second network device each are configured with a first broadcast domain, a first gateway accesses the first broadcast domain of the first network device through the first link, a second gateway accesses the first broadcast domain of the second network device through the second link, the first network device and the second network device each configure the ESI in the first broadcast domain, and the first gateway and the second gateway access a same EVPN site; and performing DF election based on the ES route, to determine that the first network device is a non-DF in the first broadcast domain. In this application, network resources can be saved, and network performance can be improved.
