Abstract: A map update method and apparatus, and a map-based driving decision-making method and apparatus are provided and applied to a vehicle. The map update method includes: obtaining tile update information of a map, where the tile update information indicates a changed tile of the map; determining a to-be-updated tile based on a pinpointed location of the vehicle, a navigation path of the vehicle, and the tile update information, where the to-be-updated tile is a part of tiles in the changed tile; downloading the to-be-updated tile from a server; updating the map based on the downloaded to-be-updated tile; and performing driving decision-making based on the updated map.
