Abstract: A method for determining an optical signal power change, wherein the method includes: A first optical signal that includes a plurality of wavelength signals is obtained, where the plurality of wavelength signals are distributed in a plurality of bands. Then, an optical power of each band and a center wavelength signal of each band are detected, and a preset single-wavelength transmit power and a preset coefficient are obtained. Next, an equivalent quantity N of equivalent wavelength signals is determined, and an equivalent wavelength signal corresponding to the first optical signal is determined. Further, a target power that is used to compensate for a first power change value of the first optical signal in transmission over an optical fiber is determined based on the preset coefficient, the equivalent wavelength signal, the equivalent quantity, and the preset single-wavelength transmit power.

Abstract: This application provides a sending device, a receiving device, an optical transmission system, and an optical power control method. The sending device includes a multiplexing unit and an optical power adjustment unit. Abstract: Example fiber amplifiers and gain adjustment methods for the fiber amplifiers are described. One example fiber amplifier includes a first power amplifier, a wavelength level adjuster, and a controller, where the first power amplifier and the wavelength level adjuster are sequentially connected. The controller includes a first input end and a control output end. The first input end is configured to receive an input optical signal of the fiber amplifier, and the control output end is configured to output a first amplification control signal to the first power amplifier, and output an adjustment control signal to the wavelength level adjuster. The wavelength level adjuster is configured to perform power adjustment on each wavelength based on the adjustment control signal.

Abstract: This application provides example optical switching methods and example apparatuses. One example method includes generating K images that are consecutive in time sequence, where a first wavelength channel and at least one second wavelength channel are switched to a blocking state through a same image in the K images, and a value of K depends on a quantity of times that attenuation adjustment is performed for switching the first wavelength channel from a normal state to the blocking state. Information about the K images can then be sent to an optical switching element to enable the optical switching element to perform attenuation adjustment on the first wavelength channel and the at least one second wavelength channel.
