Abstract: A passive intermodulation (PIM) fault point detection method includes sending, by an antenna feeder system of a network device, a plurality of downlink signals of different corresponding frequencies, and receiving a first signal, wherein the first signal is an uplink PIM signal generated by excitation by at least two downlink signals of the plurality of downlink signals. The PIM method further includes determining, by the network device, second signals corresponding to a plurality of detection points, wherein a second signal of the second signals corresponds to a detection point of the plurality of detection points, and is a pre-estimated signal for a PIM signal of the detection point. The PIM method further includes determining, by the network device, a PIM fault point from the plurality of detection points based on the first signal and the second signals corresponding to the plurality of detection points.

Abstract: A method for obtaining information about a channel and an apparatus are provided. Abstract: A method for determining a quantity of passive inter-modulation sources. A quantity of passive inter-modulation sources of a multi-antenna device is obtained. An interference signal that is excited by a sounding signal and that is from a passive inter-modulation source is received. Singular value decomposition is performed on a first matrix corresponding to the interference signal. A quantity of passive inter-modulation sources is determined based on a result of the singular value decomposition. In this way, the quantity of passive inter-modulation sources of the multi-antenna device is directly determined by performing operations including signal receiving and sending and calculation of the multi-antenna device, to implement convenient, accurate, and secure detection of information about the quantity of the passive inter-modulation sources of the multi-antenna device.

Abstract: This application provides a passive inter-modulation source positioning method and an apparatus, and relates to the field of wireless communications technologies. The method includes: A network device sequentially performs a scanning process on each of a plurality of scanning spots by using the following steps: sending a plurality of downlink signals with different frequencies for a first scanning spot by using a transmit antenna, and receiving an uplink PIM signal for the first scanning spot by using a receive antenna, where the first scanning spot is any one of the plurality of scanning spots, and the uplink PIM signal is generated by excitation by any at least two of the plurality of downlink signals; and the network device determines a PIM source from the plurality of scanning spots based on uplink PIM signals respectively corresponding to the plurality of scanning spots.
