摘要： An electronic device and method for controlling a cursor is provided. The electronic device includes a display, a timer, and a processing unit. The display includes a screen and a frame thereof. The frame further has a touch sensitive region for generating sensing signals in response to an input operation. Each sensing signal is assigned a coordinate for identification. The timer records a time duration of continuously receiving the sensing signals. The processing unit determines a direction of the input operation according to the coordinates assigned to the sensing signals and a speed of the input operation according to the duration of the timer, and thus moves a cursor displayed on the screen corresponding to the direction and speed. A related method is also provided.

摘要： The present invention relates to a mobile communication terminal. The mobile communication terminal includes a display unit; a storage unit for storing communication records and communication frequencies of each of the communication records in a particular time period; and a processing unit, configured for controlling the display unit to display a subset of the communication records in the particular time period, wherein the communication records are sorted according to the associated communication frequencies, and divided into two parts, wherein the two parts of the sorted communication records are listed in an alphabetical order respectively. The present invention also provides a call history displaying method adapted for the mobile communication terminal.

摘要： A touch-based method enabling a display apparatus to display and control a roundish-shaped on-screen display (OSD) menu is provided. The touch-based method includes the steps of: providing a display apparatus including a screen and a frame connecting to the screen, the screen including a first menu region and a second menu region, and the frame including a touch strip; generating sensing signals in response to operational inputs on the touch strip, each sensing signal being assigned to a coordinate for identification; timing a duration of the sensing signals; determining a speed of the operational inputs according to the duration and a direction of the operational inputs according to the coordinates assigned to the sensing signals; and rotating menu options displayed in an associated menu region corresponding to the speed in the direction. A related touch-based display apparatus is also provided.

摘要： A method for implementing an intelligent sleep mode on an electronic apparatus includes the steps of: tracking an elapsed time where no operational input is received; decreasing output volume when the tracked time is equal to a predetermined time period if the output volume is greater than a predetermined volume; and turning off the electronic apparatus when satisfying a predetermined requirement, wherein the predetermined requirement may be that the current volume is equal to or less than the predetermined volume or that a time tracked by the time reaches the second predetermined time period. A related electronic apparatus is also disclosed.

摘要： An electronic device and method providing a touch-based interface for a display control is provided. The electronic device includes a display, and a processing unit. The display includes a screen installed with a cursor thereon and a frame attached to the screen. The frame further has a first touch sensitive region and a second touch sensitive region for generating sensing signals in response to an input operation. Each sensing signal is assigned a coordinate for identification. The processing unit identifies the sensing signals according to the coordinates assigned therewith, controls a movement of the cursor displayed on the screen if the identified sensing signals from the first touch sensitive region, and controls a movement of pages displayed on the screen if the identified sensing signals from the second touch sensitive region. A related method is also provided.

摘要： An input device capable of locking a computer system is provided. The input device has an interface, a pressure sensor, and a microcontroller. The interface is for communicating with the computer system. The pressure sensor is for generating pressure sensing signals if pressed. The microcontroller is configured for scanning occurrence of the pressure sensing signals in real time, and generating and transmitting a lock signal through the interface to signal the computer system to perform a system lock operation if the microcontroller has not detected the pressure sensing signals in a predetermined time period. A related method is also provided.

The system includes one or more sound output apparatuses, each sound output apparatus having been assigned an identification (ID) code; a server for storing the ID code and corresponding compensation parameters for each sound output apparatus; and an audio signal generating device, connected to the server through a network. The audio signal generating device includes a compensation parameter obtaining module for obtaining the ID code of a sound output apparatus if the sound output apparatus is connected to the audio signal generating device, and downloading compensation parameters corresponding to the ID code from the server; and a compensation unit for regulating audio signals according to the compensation parameters, and outputting the regulated audio signals to the sound output apparatus via an interface. 摘要： A password control method used in an input device is provided. The input device has a coordinate output circuit for outputting coordinates corresponding to a movement of the input device and a storage unit for storing information. The method includes the steps of: (a) providing the input device with a plurality of keys for operational inputs, wherein the keys are selected from the group consisting of number keys, letter keys, and a combination of number keys and letter keys; (b) comparing the operational inputs from the keys with a predetermined password; (c) generating an unlock signal if the operational inputs match the predetermined password; and (d) unlocking the locked storage unit according to the unlock signal thereby enabling a computer system to access the storage unit.
