    摘要: A duobinary optical transmission apparatus is provided to generate duobinary optical signals, without using an electric low-pass-filter (LPF), by restricting a bandwidth of a Mach-Zehnder-interferometer-type optical intensity modulator (MZ MOD). Alternatively, a LPF having a single pole with a single capacitor is implemented instead of an expensive LPF, thereby providing a simple transmitter with a lower production cost in comparison with a transmitter using a conventional electric LPF.

    摘要: Disclosed is a broadband log-periodic dipole antenna, which has first and second radiating elements alternately and symmetrically arranged in both surfaces of a dielectric substrate according to the corresponding PCS frequency band, IMT-2000 frequency band, and wireless LAN (IEEE 802, 11a/b) frequency band, so that the first and second radiating elements are alternately supplied with signals to make the impedance matching, thereby producing high gain in each of the resonant frequency bands and preventing the distortion of the radiating patterns owing to the broadband characteristics. The arrangement of the first and second radiating elements in both surfaces of the dielectric substrate considerably also reduces the size of the antenna, thereby facilitating mass production with low cost.

    摘要: A duobinary optical transmission device provides duobinary optical transmission with improved quality by a technique that does not require an electrical low pass filter LPF.A duobinary optical transmission device includes at least one semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). A light source outputs a carrier wave as an optical signal. A precoder encodes an input of a non-return-to-zero (NRZ) electrical signal. An interferometer type semiconductor optical amplification unit modulates the carrier wave according to a change of an applied bias current coupled to the encoded signal. An optical band pass filter (OBPF) receives the phase-modulated optical signal from the semiconductor optical amplification unit, filters the received phase-modulated optical signal according to a designated band, and outputs an optical duobinary signal.

A converter mutually converts an optical signal and an RF signal, an amplifier amplifies the converted RF signal, and an RF signal flow controller automatically controls uplink and downlink transmission paths of the amplified RF signal according to a transmission/reception status of the RoF wired relay system.

    摘要: A duobinary optical transmission device that uses a duobinary optical transmission technique is disclosed. The duobinary optical transmission device may use an X-cut Mach-Zehnder interferometer type modulator. The duobinary optical transmission device includes a light source that outputs a carrier wave. A duobinary encoder encodes an input non-return-to-zero (NRZ) electrical signal. A low pass filter (LPF) converts the encoded signal into a 3-level electrical signal. An optical intensity modulator modulates the phase and light intensity of the carrier wave according to the 3-level electrical signal and outputs a 2-level optical duobinary signal. The optical intensity modulator may be an X-cut optical intensity modulator including a substrate; an optical waveguide formed on the substrate, and an electrode for applying an electric field.
