    摘要: A battery operated camera having a zoom lens in which film advance is controlled by counting pulse signals generated by film perforations and a first film frame is automatically placed in an exposure aperture when the film is loaded. The camera is set to an initial operation mode upon the battery being replaced. The initial operation mode is cleared in cooperation with shutter release when the camera is in the initial operation mode, so as to avoid an advance of several frames upon replacing the batter. A switch is provided in association with the lens barrier, and conditions of the switch are read upon replacing the battery so as to retract the zoom lens when a switch condition indicating that the lens barrier is closed is read or to extend the zoom lens when a switch condition indicating that the lens barrier is open is read. A data recording unit is provided and consists of liquid crystal segments for forming digits to be recorded, the liquid crystal segments being controlled to make all the segments visible for a predetermined time period upon loading of a new battery.

    摘要: An input system for photographic cameras is provided with a plurality of input switches. The input system includes a matrix input circuit having a plurality of inputs corresponding to a plurality of outputs. A state detector scans key signals output from matrix input circuit at predetermined time intervals and detects states of respective switches provided in the camera so that the camera may operate according to these states. The time interval at which the key scan signals are output is adjustable depending on a state of a main switch. Specifically, the time interval may be relatively long when the main switch is in an OFF state and relatively short when the main switch is in an ON state. More specifically, when the main switch is in the ON state, the time interval of key scan should be adjusted relatively short so that the camera may rapidly operate in response to the states of the respective switches because the camera is ready for photographing in this state of the main switch. When the main switch is in the OFF state, on the other hand, the time interval of the key scan may be relatively long to suppress a consumption of a source battery, because the camera is not ready for photographing in this state of the main switch and it is unnecessary for the camera to operate rapidly.

    摘要: A source voltage monitor for a photographic camera is adapted to determine, prior to release, whether the source voltage is at a level sufficiently high for effective release for exposure. The monitor uses a predetermined reference voltage for the comparison, which voltage is selected independently of the selected mode of photographing. According to the invention, the source voltage is checked prior to release with a lens barrel driving circuit and/or a shutter blade driving circuit energized, depending on the selected mode of photographing. In the preflash mode, for example, both the lens barrel driving circuit and the shutter blade driving circuit are energized during the source voltage check. In low luminance automatic strobe discharge mode, only the lens barrel driving circuit is energized during the source voltage check.

    摘要: A film transporting system for a photographic camera is adapted to advance a film roll loaded in the camera by one frame upon replacement of a source battery. A film transporter including an electric motor, or the like, is actuated to selectively perform film advance or film rewinding. A film travel detector detects that the film roll has been advanced by a predetermined amount and applies a signal to the film transporter. Operation of the film transporter is stopped by this signal. Upon replacement of the source battery, the film transporter advances the film roll by one frame, and thereupon the film transporter is stopped under control of the film travel detector. Accordingly, upon replacement of the source battery, the film roll is advanced by one frame in readiness for a next photograph.

    摘要: A film transporter is coupled to a counter which counts the number of used film frames. A film detector detects a film when the count signal is "0," i.e., a state where the counter for counting the number of used film frames is reset. When it is detected that the camera has no film roll loaded therein, the film transporter is disabled to advance or rewind the film roll. There is provided a film travel detector adapted to stop further travel of the film roll after the number of pulses output every time the film roll travels by one frame has reached a predetermined number and, when the camera has the film roll loaded therein, the predetermined number is changed depending whether the count signal is "0," so that a common control system effects initial film advance and advance of each frame following the initial film advance.

    摘要: A self-photographing method for an autofocus camera, wherein, upon depression of a shutter release button, the subject distance data are detected a plurality of times at periodic intervals, and a predetermined exposure operation, that is, an actual shutter release operation is automatically executed using the autofocus system when the detected subject distance data have changed from each other. The distance data are repeatedly detected and compared with each other until these distance data differ from each other. If the distance data have been equal for a predetermined time interval from the shutter release button depression, then the actual shutter release operation is executed, or is called off and the self-photographing is terminated. It is preferred that the detected change of distance be a decrease of distance, indicating that the photographer has stepped into the picture, whereupon the measured distance becomes his distance in place of the background distance.

    摘要: A camera is disclosed which is capable of winding and rewinding a film and adjusting a focal distance by use of a single motor. In the camera, the forward rotation of the motor is used to wind the film, and when the film winding operation is completed after termination of photographing, on detecting the end of the film, a torque detect mechanism switches a planetary clutch mechanism to connect the motor with a film rewinding mechanism. Thus, it is possible to perform both the film winding and rewinding operations by use of the rotation of the motor in the same direction. Also, when, with the planetary clutch mechanism connected with the film winding mechanism, the motor is rotated reversely, then the power transmission system is switched over to a focal distance varying mechanism, whereby the focal distance can be adjusted.
