摘要： An electronic equipment housing provides easy access to electronic equipment via a hinged top panel and a clear plastic safety panel below it. Inside the housing are cable raceways located at the top front and top rear which are in line with raceways in adjacent housings to permit many cables to be contained inside the housings. The raceways and cables are positioned so as not to interfere with convection cooling inside the housings and with access to the equipment. Relatively high heat generating equipment such as power supplies are mounted to one side of the interior of the housing enabling separate fans to cool the power supplies using a single flow of air while other equipment in the housing is cooled by a separate flow of air drawn by other fans. Common system equipment is enclosed in the housing located at a predetermined one end of a series of adjacent housings. The common housing has a side mounted connector arrangement, with the connectors being mounted on swing out doors or bulkheads for ease of access. The connectors are organized to accommodate cables coming from other adjacent housings to the connectors which have the same length cables. The front and rear panels on all housings have horizontal slots that permit cooling air flow for cooling, and conductive screening behind the slots for minimizing radio frequency interference (RFI). In addition, the top, front and side removable panels have gaskets to suppress RFI signals.

摘要： The electronic equipment of a computer system including electronic cards, power supplies, peripheral units, cooling units and internal and external cables are compactly packaged within a small enclosure in a way which permits sufficient airflow from front to rear of the enclosure. The enclosure includes a pair of rail members located at the rear which have a plurality of mounting positions for attaching a corresponding number of modular shelf members which are angled to permit the flow of air through established airflow paths. The rail and shelf members collectively form a bulkhead structure. The rail members are offset from the sides of the frame so as to form vertical channels on each side. The channels are used for retaining external cables which plug into connectors mounted on the shelf members and are distributed so as not to interfere with airflow.

摘要： Disclosed is a tilt-swivel base for a CRT display terminal. The base allows the CRT terminal to be readily swiveled around a vertical axis and tilted forward or backward around a horizontal axis or positioned with a combination of both movements. The cradle of the base may be placed within a recess formed in a horizontal supporting surface and thereby confine the base within the recess. By having the recess front-to-back width approximately equal to the front-to-back width of the cradle and the side to side length greater than the side to side width of the cradle, the CRT display terminal and base can be moved from side to side within the recess while still confining it to a fixed front-to-back position. By providing the cradle with a convex front surface and a triangular back surface, the base and CRT display terminal may be swiveled up to the point that one of the two angled back edges of the cradle comes into full contact with the back edge of the recess. The cradle is attached to the rocker drum of the base by means of a shouldered bushing which is attached to the center of the rocker drum by a screw.

摘要： A document holder attachable to a display terminal used to support one or more documents to be referenced by the display terminal user when information is entered or displayed on the display terminal screen is disclosed. The document holder is supported by an easel bracket which fits in an annular groove in the display terminal cover. The document easel is attached to the easel bracket such that an adjustment in the swivel or tilt of the display terminal for operator viewing convenience also results in a corresponding adjustment in the document holder such that the document holder always remains in the same relative viewing position with respect to the display terminal screen. The document holder can be easily added or removed from the display terminal and is reversible for either righthanded or lefthanded use.
