摘要： A machine (10) for fastening sheets comprises a) a fastening platform (11, 12, 13), which i) comprises a support surface (12) inclined with respect to the horizontal plane (x-y) which optionally also comprises extension means for the support surface, and ii) comprises an alignment surface (13), which is located at the bottom edge of the support surface or lower than this, in such a way that the intersection of the plane formed by the support surface and the plane formed by the alignment surface is formed, with respect to the support surface, by a threshold (100) extending along the width of the support surface, and b) a fastening unit (14). The machine, the support surface, the alignment surface and the fastening unit are configured to enable a user: a) to place a sheet block (40), which is to be fastened, manually in between the fastening head (50) and the support surface, and preferably also b) to knock the sheet block while positioning it on the fastening platform (11) to even out the bottom edge (42) of the sheet block that lies on the alignment surface.

摘要： The invention relates to a method and device for hot-gluing a bundle (2), particularly in a device that includes a glue reservoir (7) for storing glue that has been made fluid, a glue-spreading roller (6) for spreading the glue onto the spine surface of the bundle (2), press devices, (3, 4, 5, 21, 21′) for holding the bundle (2), and possible side-nip devices (16, 19, 20) for finishing the shape of the book or similar. The bundle (2), which is held between two symmetrically positioned press plates (21, 21′), is pressed with the glue-spreading roller (6) to bend or fan out the edge of the bundle (2) and to open a gap between the cover sheet (11) and the outermost sheet of the bundle. The glue is spread to such an extent that a glue bead (13, 14, 15) forms at the said gap and at the opposite edge of the bundle (2) and possibly also at the bend in the cover sheet, so that the said glue beads are spread for a certain distance in the gaps between the cover (11) and the edges of the bundle, in order to form a glue bond during the following side nipping.

摘要： A method and device for additional pressing during a page nipping event in the adhesive binding of books or corresponding objects. One part of the cover (1) and the spine of the book are folded around the block (2) formed by the book's pages and glued on the spine of the block. The other part of the cover is folded into shape by means of a moveable jaw (8). The aforementioned folding of the cover (1) is accomplished by the aid of an additional compactor (9) acting by way of a stiffening brace (10) supporting the block (2). Alternatively, the process may be aided directly by the flexible support (7) by, for example, making a fold in the support (7) which causes it to function as a spring.
