摘要: There is provided a radio bearer to user equipment on a first component carrier by a first network node and on a second component carrier via a second network node connecting to the first network node. A control plane configuration message is transmitted that indicates an uplink component carrier of a network node that terminates an air-interface protocol linked to the first and/or the second component carrier. The uplink component carrier (it can be more than one) is then used for uplink transmission of data units that include information about reception of data units of the air-interface protocol.

摘要: A legacy base station receives, from a radio network controller, information on the amount of radio network resources that is available to be reserved for user terminals utilizing LTE-HSPA carrier aggregation. The legacy base station also receives a request directly via an interface from an LTE base station to perform a setup of a connection between the LTE base station and a user terminal by utilizing LTE-HSPA carrier aggregation. Based on the request, the legacy base station checks the received information in order to decide whether or not to grant the LTE base station a permission to set up the connection between the LTE base station and the user terminal by utilizing LTE-HSPA carrier aggregation.

摘要: The application relates to the removal of one of the links in multi-flow HSPA but the proposed method is also applicable to normal HSDPA operation during handover. In particular the application aims at minimizing the negative impact of a removed radio link, i.e. drop of packets and/or delays. According to the proposed method, in which the radio link to be removed is via a first Node B NB1 (RL Removal Req), the NB1 ends the pending data transmission and informs the controlling RNC about the data which was not transmitted, in particular in the form of the lowest sequence number in its buffer. Subsequently, the RNC decides, based on this sequence number, which data packets need to be retransmitted on a second radio link via a second node B NB2, and instructs NB2 accordingly (Data Forwarding).

摘要: A method of transmission in a communications network is provided in which data is transmitted using a first radio access technology and a second radio access technology. The method includes providing an anchor carrier associated only with the first radio access technology and another carrier shared between the first radio access technology and the second radio access technology. Transmission via the second radio access technology is muted in the shared carrier during at least one subframe of each data frame transmitted using the second radio access technology. Data is transmitted using the first radio access technology in the shared carrier only during the at least one subframe in which transmission using the second radio access technology is muted.

摘要: The present invention relates to dynamic spectrum refarming with multiple carriers. At a first communication system of a first radio access technology, a request is received in a first signaling message from a second communication system of a second radio access technology, the request including information on availability of spectrum blocks shared between the first and second communication systems. The availability of the spectrum blocks may have been determined based on a load of the second communication system. The first communication system performs carrier aggregation mechanisms based on the information with respect to the spectrum blocks, and may transmit a response to the request in a second signaling message to the second communication system, the response including an acknowledgment of an activation/deactivation of at least one additional carrier and/or a corresponding carrier aggregation.
