摘要： A light emitter emits light through an offset opening in a concave collector to a reflector that reflects the light along a first path to coded indicia to be read in an electro-optical reader. Light reflected from the indicia is reflected by the reflector to the collector which, in turn, directs the reflected light in a second path extending across the first path to a light detector. The reflector is mounted on a resilient spring for oscillating movement.

摘要： A scanner module for use in a bar code reader has a scanning mirror which is mounted to a bracket by way of leaf-spring, allowing the mirror to oscillate in one direction. The bracket is hung from a stationary chassis by means of two strips of mylar film, allowing the entire bracket to oscillate in the perpendicular direction, thereby providing two dimensional oscillation of the mirror and raster scanning of a light beam reflected from the mirror. The mylar sheets are protected against mechanical shock by pins which pass through holes in the bracket. The pins are slightly smaller than the holes, allowing sufficient clearance for movement of the bracket during normal operation, but preventing too much stress being placed upon the mylar films if the module is dropped. The pins also provide accurate alignment of the bracket with respect to the chassis.

摘要： A bar code reader has an integrated scanning component module which is mountable on a printed circuit board. In one embodiment, the module may include the digitizer/decoder electronics, enabling the module to be used with a generic PCB. In some embodiments, the module includes a high speed optical scanning arrangement having an optical element which extends longitudinally of a flexible member, secured at one end. In other embodiments, the invention extends to a hand-held optical scanner having a scanning assembly, detector and data transmission coupling all mounted to a common printed circuit board, preferably located within a manually-graspable handle. In yet a further embodiment, an abuse-detector or accelerometer is provided for determining when the device is exposed to deceleration above a predetermined limit, and optionally for automatically shutting down applications programs and for providing a black-box-record of a short time frame before the device was exposed to an unexpected shock. Preferably, the reader is shock protected by a thermo-plastic elastomer housing section. An outgoing light beam is directed at a non-orthogonal angle relative to the PCB.

摘要： Systems and methods for securing a battery within a battery compartment are provided. The battery is coupled to at least one latch such that the latch is slidably engageable with a latch receiving undercut in the battery compartment. The latch slides into engagement with the undercut after electrical contacts on the battery have connected with electrical contacts in the battery compartment. The secure latch mechanism facilitates maintaining a constant force between the electrical contacts while mitigating contact chatter and stress on a battery cover.

A scanning element of the reader is manufactured by spacing a first and second support element apart by a gap bounded by edges of the support elements; injection molding a curable, elastomeric material in flowable form over the edges and into the gap; and allowing the curable, elastomeric material to cure and bond to the edges, and form a flexible hinge in the gap for enabling movement of the support elements relative to one another both away from and toward a stable rest initial position.

摘要： There has been a problem with a film provided on a surface of an input section such as a touch panel etc., which is arranged on a display such as a conventional type of liquid crystal display or the like is swelled or corrugated owing to deterioration with the lapse of time, or change in temperature and humidity.According to the present invention, there is provided an information input display device. The device comprises a drawing action section which generates tension to draw outward directly or indirectly by elasticity in a film, when an input section capable of displaying in a transmittable manner, which is arranged on a surface of a display section, is attached to an housing. The device prevents swelling or corrugation of the film from occurring by the tension.
