    Abstract: A battery pack has a plurality of unit cells, a bus bar and a plate portion. The unit cells each includes a cell body having a power-generating element and being formed in a flat shape. Each unit cell has an electrode tab that extends out from a corresponding one of the cell bodies. The unit cells are stacked in a thickness direction of the cell bodies. The bus bar is electrically connected to the electrode tabs by laser welding. The plate portion forms a stacked structure together with the electrode tabs along an irradiation direction of the laser. Each electrode tab includes an anode-side electrode tab and a cathode-side electrode tab. The cathode-side electrode tabs have a different thickness than the anode-side electrode tabs. The plate portion is only provided on the ones of the anode-side electrode tabs and the cathode-side electrode tabs that have a smaller thickness.

    Abstract: A device includes a housing constructed from a conductive material, and an electronic circuit electrically insulated from the housing. The device also includes a power source positioned such that a first electrical contact of the power source faces the electronic circuit and a second electrical contact faces a side of the housing. The device also includes an insulating layer that includes a first aperture and a second aperture. The device also includes a first connector configured for electrically coupling the electronic circuit and the first electrical contact, and a second connector configured for electrically coupling the electronic circuit and the side of the housing via the first aperture of the insulating layer. The power source is configured for electrically coupling the second electrical contact with the side of the housing via the second aperture of the insulating layer.

    Abstract: The present application relates to a housing of battery module and a battery module. The housing includes a lower shell, an upper cover and two output components, the lower shell includes a lower shell body and at least one connecting member; the lower shell body is separated into accommodating chambers for accommodating bare cell; an installation site for connecting member is provided in each accommodating chamber; every two adjacent accommodating chambers are provided with one connecting member between and penetrating through the every two adjacent accommodating chambers; an installation site for output component and an output hole are provided in each of a first one and a last one of the plurality of accommodation chambers; the two output components are sealedly connected with two output holes, respectively. The battery module includes bare cells and the housing.

    Abstract: Methods for extending the life of a battery output regulated voltages from output terminals configured to interface with input terminals of battery powered devices. A method includes receiving a battery electrical power output from the battery. The voltage output by the battery decreases from a battery first output voltage to a battery second output voltage during use of the battery. The electrical power output is used to drive a converter that outputs a converter electrical power having a converter output voltage greater than the battery second output voltage. The converter electrical power is output from output terminals configured to interface with input terminals of a battery powered device. The converter is configured and supported relative to the battery to interface with one or more output terminals of the battery.
