    摘要: A pressing plunger mechanism for a glassware forming machine has at least one pressing plunger which in normal operation can be moved axially in a reciprocating manner together with a pressing plunger receiver between an inoperative position and a pressing position. A piston rod of a piston is fastened to each pressing plunger receiver, which piston can be displaced in a cylinder of a pressing plunger holder. The pressing plunger holder can be moved axially in a reciprocating manner by a first drive and is connected in a non-rotatable manner to a threaded spindle. A nut which can be rotationally driven by the first drive is engaged with the threaded spindle and is coupled to a driven shaft of an angular gear. An input shaft of the angular gear can be rotationally driven by an electric servo motor of the first drive.

    摘要: A parison is molded from a gob of molten glass by first increasing the volume of the interior of a cup-shaped main mold body by an extra volume. Then the molten-glass gob is inserted through an upper opening into the interior of the main mold body. A neck mold comprising a split neck ring is closed on the main mold body so that the neck mold and the main mold body together define a mold cavity partly formed by the interior of the main mold body. A plunger is inserted through the neck mold down into the gob in the mold cavity to displace molten glass and shape the gob into a parison. The extra volume of the interior of the main mold body is then decreased to zero at the latest until the time at which the parison is finished, so that the molten glass rises in the mold cavity up to a level above the top of the main mold body. Finally the parison thus formed is demolded. It is therefore possible to put a relatively large gob in the main mold body without any possibility of it overflowing, and the mold cavity can be shaped more like the finished hollow glass article, so that the resultant parison can be blown into a higher-quality product.

    摘要: A distributing arrangement for a pressurized cooling fluid, especially air, for cooling a forming tool of a machine for forming thermoplastic material, especially molten glass, wherein the forming tool includes at least one split mold including mold segments which are respectively mounted on mold segment holders for movement therewith relative to one another and each of which is provided with a plurality of fluid channels for the flow of the pressurized of fluid channels for the flow of the pressurized cooling fluid therethrough, comprises a fluid distributing box including for each of the mold segments at least two branch channels individually communicating with at least one of the fluid channels when the distributing box is mounted on the mold segment holder. The branch conduits can either directly communicate with the fluid channels across an interface formed by juxtaposed connecting and opposing surfaces of the distributing box and the associated mold segment, or a connecting box including a plurality of connecting channels may be interposed between the distributing box and the respective mold segment, in which case the interface is provided between the distributing and connecting boxes. The connection at the interface is established by merely resting the connecting surface on the opposing surface which has a complementary configuration to the connecting surface.
