摘要： An image forming apparatus is disclosed that includes an image carrier, a driving source, a rotation detection unit, and a control unit that performs fluctuation pattern recognition processing, control pattern construction processing, speed fine-adjustment processing, and remaining pattern recognition processing. The control unit is configured to perform control pattern correction processing for setting a frequency band of a remaining speed fluctuation to be detected by the remaining pattern recognition processing narrower than a frequency band of a speed fluctuation to be detected by the fluctuation pattern recognition processing and correcting the speed control pattern so as to be a pattern capable of reducing even the remaining speed fluctuation based on a remaining speed fluctuation pattern recognized by the remaining pattern recognition processing.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a heat generator configured to generate heat in the image forming apparatus; a converter including a capacitor to convert AC power supplied from an external power supply into DC power for a load unit; a thermoelectric transducer configured to convert the generated heat into DC power for the load unit; a detector configured to detect a voltage of the AC power; and a controller configured to cause the converter to continue supplying the DC power to the load unit when a first elapsed time elapsed since the detected voltage drops below a rated voltage is shorter than a first time period shorter than an upper limit of a period of time over which the capacitor is dischargeable, and cause the thermoelectric transducer to supply the DC power to the load unit when the first elapsed time exceeds the first time period.

摘要： A belt traveling unit includes an endless belt, a drive roller and a correction roller, a driving unit, a correction unit, a contact member, a position detector and a regulating member. The endless belt is spanned between a plurality of rollers. The driving unit rotates the drive roller to drive the belt. The correction unit adjusts a tilt angle of the correction roller to correct drifting of the belt in the width direction thereof. The contact member is rotatable in conjunction with traveling of the belt in the width direction thereof. The position detector detects a position of the contact member to detect a position of the belt in the width direction thereof. The regulating member is located at a position where the position detector does not misdetect the position of the belt when the contact member rotates.
