    摘要: In a color liquid crystal display device, the shape of a color filter cannot be seen and coloring of areas other than a display area due to leaking light is prevented. By making a first and second segment electrodes in a two layer construction, it becomes possible to display two different display image planes in different colors with only the single layer type color liquid crystal display device. Further, sufficient contrast can be obtained by using a liquid crystal element for compensation. It is also possible to display two kinds of display image planes, namely a color display image plane and a black and white display image plane. Two kinds of color display image planes can be displayed because the color liquid crystal display device is made in a two layered construction. A so-called normally black display and normally white display can be switched. Further, when the display state is switched between normally black display and normally white display, the background color changes and it is possible to maintain the same display color. Further display colors can be doubled as compared to the example of the prior art.

    摘要: In a color liquid crystal display device of the invention, light-blocking members of predetermined configurations (characters, graphics etc.) are disposed on the surface of one side of a liquid crystal display element, that is to say the surface on the side opposite to the light source, and the predetermined configurations are displayed on the color liquid crystal display device by blocking the light from the light source with the light-blocking members. Further, a light-scattering plate is disposed between the light source and the liquid crystal display element, or between the liquid crystal display element and the light-blocking members. It is possible to allow transmission of a part of the light blocked by the light-blocking members by scattering the light which is transmitted through the liquid crystal display element with the arrangement of the light-scattering plate. Therefore, around the periphery of the light-blocking members, the color balance of the transmitted light breaks down and only a specific color of light is transmitted, thereby preventing the colored and blurred appearance of the peripheral part of the light-blocking members. Based upon this, the display quality of the color liquid crystal display device is markedly improved.

    摘要: An information code reading apparatus comprises a case, an illuminating light source, and a light receiver. The case has an end portion at which a reading opening is formed. The illuminating light source is disposed within the case and configured to radiate illumination light through the reading opening toward an information code recorded on an object to be read. The light receiver is disposed within the case and configured to receive light reflected from the object through the reading opening. The reflected light returns along a reading light axis residing in a field of view of the light receiver. The reading light axis is oblique to a perpendicular axis to the reading opening, whereby the entire reading opening is illuminated by the light source. The illuminating light source is composed of an area light source disposed outside the field of view in a substantially parallel attitude along the field of view.

    摘要: An apparatus has a photodetector with a plurality of pixels arranged in at least one dimension. The apparatus is designed to optically pick up an image of an information code by the pixels of the photodetector. In the apparatus, an establishing unit establishes a preliminary correcting region on part of the image data. A preliminary correcting unit provides a correcting variable that estimates a shift amount of the image data; and preliminarily corrects the part of the image data within the preliminary correcting region based on a value of the correcting variable. A determining unit determines whether the preliminary correction of the preliminary correcting unit is proper based on the corrected result. When the determining unit determines that the preliminary correction of the preliminary correcting unit is proper, a correcting unit corrects the image data based on the value of the correcting variable.

    摘要: In an apparatus for optically reading a target based on a light reflected from the target, a light source has a first optical axis and operates to emit light. An imaging optical system has a second optical axis. The imaging optical system is arranged so that the reflected light enters into the imaging optical system. A photodetector has an active area so that the imaging optical system focuses the reflected light on the active area of the photodetector. A light guide member is arranged between the target and the imaging optical system on the first and second optical axes, respectively. The light guide member is configured to guide the light emitted from the light source while preventing the guided light from leaking therefrom to irradiate the guided light to the target.
