    摘要: In this radio portable terminal communication system, a service document file is converted into a window-related document file, speech-dialog-related document file, and information sharing document file. A description of a telephone number for speech communication with a center is added to the window-related document file. The window-related document file is output to a place where the file can be used through packet communication. The speech-dialog-related document file is output to a place where the file can be referred to by a speech dialog control section (207). The information sharing document file is output to an information management section (204). The information management section (204) manages information in accordance with the general-purpose description language contents of the information sharing document file such that information can be shared between the window-related document file and the speech-dialog-related document file. Since information about windows and speech dialog is created by using a general-purpose description language in this system, the number of steps in development can be reduced.

    摘要: Information search system includes terminal having speech communication function and packet communication function and center for selectively performing speech communication and packet communication with the terminal. Center includes speech control section, speech recognition section, information search section, speech conversion section, and packet control section. Speech control section performs speech communication with the terminal packet communication. Speech recognition section recognizes speech signal received by speech control section and sent from the terminal. Information search section searches for information on the basis of speech information recognized by speech recognition section. Speech conversion section converts speech information of the information searched out by information search section into speech signal and outputs it to speech control section. Speech signal from speech conversion section is transmitted to the terminal by speech control section. Packet control section transmits image/character information of the information searched by information search section to the terminal by packet communication.

A terminal-side apparatus (100) includes a speech detection portion (101) for detecting a speech interval of inputted data, a waveform compression portion (102) for compressing waveform data at the detected speech interval, and a waveform transmission portion (103) for producing the compressed waveform data. A server-side apparatus (200) includes a waveform reception portion (201) for receiving the waveform data transmitted from the terminal-side apparatus, a waveform decompression portion (202) for decompressing the received waveform data, an analyzing portion (203) for analyzing the decompressed waveform data, and a recognizing portion (204) for performing recognition processing to produce a recognition result.
