摘要: The present invention provides a printing device which provides high printing quality. The printing device includes: an image forming section which has a thermal head 9 and a platen roller 12; a media conveyance section for conveying an intermediate transfer film F; a ribbon conveyance section for conveying an ink ribbon R; a sensor 10 for detecting a first mark formed on the film F; and a control section for controlling the image forming section, the media conveyance section, and the ribbon conveyance section in accordance with output information from the sensor 10. The control section presses the head 9 into contact with the roller 12 when the first mark is not detected, which is when the first mark is further upstream than the position of the sensor 10, while the film F and the ribbon R are being conveyed, and selectively heats a heating element formed in the head 9 when the film F is positioned in the printing start position, which is a state in which the first mark is detected when the first mark is further downstream than the position of the sensor 10.

摘要: The present invention provides a printing device which provides high printing quality. 摘要: A printing apparatus 1 compares a distance γ from a printing finish position of received printing data to a card rear end with a distance β set corresponding to a peeling distance α in which an ink ribbon R peels off from a card C, and thereby determines whether or not the printing finish position is within the distance β from the card rear end. As a result, when it is determined that the printing finish position is within the distance β from the card rear end, it is controlled that reeling of the ink ribbon R is performed by at least a distance obtained by adding the distance γ to the distance α after printing on the card C is finished, and that the thermal head is then retreated to a retreat position. By this means, when the printing finish position is in the vicinity of the card rear end, the sag of the ink ribbon pulled out by a drop of the thermal head is resolved, and the ink ribbon does not wind itself around the platen roller.

摘要: To provide a printing apparatus without waste of a ribbon panel in using a two-side dedicated ribbon, a printing apparatus 1 capable of printing on both surfaces of a printing medium performs two-side printing using an ink ribbon 41 with a color ribbon panel 41a and monochrome ribbon panel 41b configured in a face sequential manner. 摘要: Disclosed herein is a medium conveying apparatus in which unjamming can be efficiently performed. The medium conveying apparatus includes conveyance rollers configured to convey a card, a rotary unit configured to hold and rotate the card, sensors SN2 and SN26 configured to detect the distance the card has been conveyed, and a control section. If the distance the card has been conveyed that has been detected by the sensors SN2 and SN26 differs from a preset distance L1 (Yes in Step S320), the control section determines (in S328 and S336) whether the card can be positioned in a direction to be delivered from the rotary unit. If the card can be so positioned, a drive motor is controlled, rotating the rotary unit to position the card to be delivered.
