    摘要: A liquid crystal display device capable of preventing the occurrence of crack in a capacitor insulating film due to laser marking is provided. The liquid crystal display device includes pixels arranged in a matrix in a display region above a substrate, a thin film layer formed in a non-display region excluding the display region, and a transparent insulating film extending from the display region to the non-display region and formed on the thin film layer, in which the transparent insulating film includes at least an organic insulating film formed of an organic compound for planarizing a surface of the substrate, an inorganic insulating film which is a thin film formed on the organic insulating film and formed of an inorganic compound and formed with an opening extending to the organic insulating film in a region above the thin film layer, and a transparent electrode layer which is formed in the opening of the inorganic insulating film to cover the organic insulating film exposed from the opening of the inorganic insulating film.

    摘要: In a liquid crystal display device in which liquid crystal is sealed by a one drop fill method, the gap between a TFT substrate and a counter substrate is defined by a columnar spacer in a display region, and the gap between them is defined by a columnar spacer also in a seal portion. In the display region, one layer of a color filter is formed below the columnar spacer. In the seal portion, two layers of island-shaped color filters are formed. With this configuration, the gap between the TFT substrate and the counter substrate can be maintained equal between the display region and the seal portion. Even when the process for forming the columnar spacer varies, it is possible to eliminate a change in difference between the gap between the TFT substrate and the counter substrate in the display region and the gap in the seal portion.

    摘要: In a liquid crystal display device in which liquid crystal is sealed by a one drop fill method, the gap between a TFT substrate and a counter substrate is defined by a columnar spacer in a display region, and the gap between them is defined by a columnar spacer also in a seal portion. In the display region, one layer of a color filter is formed below the columnar spacer. In the seal portion, two layers of island-shaped color filters are formed. With this configuration, the gap between the TFT substrate and the counter substrate can be maintained equal between the display region and the seal portion. Even when the process for forming the columnar spacer varies, it is possible to eliminate a change in difference between the gap between the TFT substrate and the counter substrate in the display region and the gap in the seal portion.

The terminal region includes a ground terminal connected to the conductive region and an adjacent terminal which is adjacent to the ground terminal and supplies signals or power source to the peripheral circuit. The adjacent terminal is connected to the peripheral circuit through a first wiring installed along a third side of the TFT substrate toward a second side facing the first side. The first wiring is extended to a middle point of the third side and then connected to the peripheral circuit.
