    摘要: A driving circuit used in a display apparatus includes a plurality of output circuits for selecting two reference gradation voltages among a plurality of different reference gradation voltages based on display data and outputting an interpolation voltage corresponding to the display data using the two reference gradation voltages; and a plurality of supply lines for supplying the plurality of reference gradation voltages. The supply lines including a plurality of voltage supply lines and a plurality of signal supply lines. One of the plurality of voltage supply lines supplies a voltage having a minimum difference from the voltage of a common electrode of the display apparatus and another of the plurality of voltage supply lines supplies a voltage having a maximum difference from the voltage of the common electrode. The two reference gradation voltages selected by each of the output circuits are supplied by one of a plurality of pairs of supply lines. At least one of the pair has a signal supply line and a supply line having a voltage higher than the signal supply line, and another of the pairs has a signal supply line and a voltage supply line having a voltage lower than the signal supply line.

The driving circuit includes: an oscillating signal specifying section for specifying one of a plurality of oscillating signals having respective mean values which are different from each other in accordance with video data consisting of bits selected from the plurality of bits, and for outputting the specified oscillating signal T and an oscillating signal T-bar which is obtained by inverting the specified oscillating signal T; a gray-scale voltage specifying section for producing gray-scale voltage specifying signals which specify a first gray-scale voltage and a second gray-scale voltage among a plurality of gray-scale voltages supplied from a gray-scale voltage supply section, in accordance with video data consisting of bits other than the selected bits of the plurality of bits; and an output section for outputting the first gray-scale voltage and the second gray-scale voltage specified by the gray-scale voltage specifying signals to the data lines, in accordance with the oscillating signal T and the oscillating signal T-bar.

The length ratio of the two portions of one output period is appropriately determined according to the digital video signal, whereby an arbitrary voltage corresponding to the video signal data can be applied to the pixel.

    摘要: The horizontal synchronizing signal separation circuit extracts pulses indicative of horizontal synchronizing timing from a composite synchronizing signal which includes a horizontal synchronizing signal and a vertical synchronizing signal. When detecting the rising edge of the composite synchronizing signal, a rising edge detection circuit generates a pulse signal. A counter counts the number of the pulses in a clock signal. The output of the counter is supplied to a decoder which decodes the output of the counter and outputs timing signals. Using the timing signals, a control signal is generated to control a gate to which the output of the rising edge detection circuit is supplied. The output of the gate is used for generating a separated horizontal synchronizing signal.

    摘要: A drive circuit for a display apparatus having parallel signal electrodes has at least one voltage selecting circuit, a plurality of signal voltage circuits, one selection signal circuit, and one control signal circuit. The voltage selecting circuit selects one of voltages having different levels in accordance with an input digital video signal. The signal voltage circuits are respectively provided for the signal electrodes, and include two signal lines which are disposed between the voltage selecting circuit and the respective signal electrode. Each of the two signal lines is provided with a input switch, a capacitor and an output switch. The selection signal circuit generates a signal for controlling the two input switches of one of the signal voltage circuits to alternatingly receive a selected voltage from the voltage selecting circuit. The control signal circuit controls the two output switches of the one signal voltage circuit to alternatingly output the voltages toward the respective signal electrode, in an inverted manner with respect to the control of the selection signal circuit.
