    摘要： A vibration preventing camera includes a vibration amount detecting unit for detecting the amount of vibration, a vibration correcting unit for correcting vibration, a light measuring unit for measuring the light value at a subject, and a control unit for controlling the vibration correcting unit in consonance with a detection signal that is obtained by the light measuring unit and the vibration detecting unit, and for activating the vibration detecting unit after the length of exposure is determined by the light value at the subject that is obtained by the light measuring unit. More preferably, a vibration preventing camera further includes a self-timer unit, and when the self-timer unit is set for an exposure, the vibration detecting unit is activated after the timing count down for the self-timer unit begins.

    摘要： A blur-correcting image pickup device includes, but is not limited to an image pickup optical system for picking up an image, a vibration-detecting device which detects vibrations of the image pickup device and generates an output relative to the detected vibrations, a blur-correcting device which corrects blurring of the image caused by the vibrations, a rangefinder which detects distance of the image to be picked up and generates an output relative to the detected image pickup distance, and an optical system setup device which sets up a specific image pickup condition for the image pickup optical system. The blur-correcting image pickup device further includes an arithmetic information generating device which generates a first arithmetic factor when the specific image pickup condition is set up and a second arithmetic factor corresponding to the output of the rangefinder when the specific image pickup condition is not set up by the optical system setup device and a drive control device which calculates corrective information based on the output of the vibration-detecting device and the output of the arithmetic information generating device to control the blur-correcting device based on the corrective information.

    摘要： A camera, having a motion compensation device, permits the user to select one of two modes of operations using a selector switch. Partial depression of a shutter release button initiates exposure and auto-focus routines while complete depression actuates an exposure routine effecting a shutter release. A first mode of operation enables the motion compensation device and prevents or delays an exposure from being executed if a motion level of the camera is outside a maximum range of compensation. A second mode of operation permits an exposure to be executed regardless of whether the camera motion level is outside of the maximum range of compensation, thus allowing events to be rapidly photographed on-demand. A first embodiment of the first mode of operation calculates exposure and focus parameters and then repetitively monitors the motion level until the motion level is within the maximum range of compensation and the exposure is executed. A warning signal is produced indicating excessive motion during the repetitive motion level monitoring. A second embodiment repetitively executes exposure and focus routines in sequence with the monitoring of the motion level. When the motion level is within the maximum range of compensation a shutter release is executed utilizing updated exposure and focus parameters. Another embodiment of the invention incorporates both first and second embodiments of the present invention and a second selector switch for selecting between operation according to either embodiment.
