摘要： An image processing/communication system provided with a processing unit for performing a coding processing on image data, a plurality of line memories for storing image data related to the coding processing and coding data, an external-bus connection control unit for controlling a connection between the external bus and the system, an internal bus for transferring data to the processing unit, the external-bus connection control unit and the plurality of line memories, and an operation control unit for causing the processing unit, the plurality of line memories and the external-bus connection control unit to simultaneously perform an input operation of inputting image data from the external bus to the line memory and an output operation of outputting coding data to the external bus from the processing unit or the line memory in parallel with one another. Thus, in each operation of this system, a coding processing can be effected by using the line memory. Therefore, an access to an external bus, which is necessary in the conventional system, becomes unnecessary. Moreover, a coding operation, a data input operation of inputting data from and a data output operation of outputting data to the external bus can be performed in parallel with one another. Thus, a coding operation can be performed extremely quickly.

摘要： A fuel cell has a membrane electrode assembly and a supply member for supplying an anode fluid to the membrane electrode assembly. The membrane electrode assembly has an electrolyte membrane and an anode catalyst. The supply member has at least one anode fluid flow path for supplying the anode fluid toward the membrane electrode assembly. A gas diffusion layer is provided between the supply member and the membrane electrode assembly. An opening of the at least one anode fluid flow path on a discharge side thereof for the anode fluid is disposed in contact with a side of the gas diffusion layer facing the supply member. The side of the gas diffusion layer includes a region that stores a gas pushed by the supply of the anode fluid.

摘要： A power supply apparatus has a combined power source with power cells configured electrically independently. A switch arbitrarily changes connection paths of the power cells by selectively connecting power cell terminals through switching elements. A voltage detector detects differences in electrical potentials between the power cell terminals. A controller controls ON-OFF states of the switching elements by controlling the switch by a control signal generated based on voltage signals representing the differences in electrical potentials detected by the voltage detector so as to isolate one of the power cells to stop a supply of electric power therefrom when a voltage generated in the power cell has dropped to a specified voltage or lower. The controller restarts the supply of electric power from the power cell whose power supply has been stopped when the duration of a down time of the power cell has reached a predetermined time or longer.

摘要： The airbag apparatus is provided with a retainer that includes a hold-down portion for attachment of a periphery of a gas inlet of an airbag to the case, a cover wall surrounding an inflator body, deflectors and catches. The cover wall includes a plurality of outlet ports for releasing inflation gas exited discharge ports of the inflator body radially. The deflectors deflect the inflation gas exited the outlet ports in a range of angle from a direction orthogonal to an axis of the inflator body to a downward direction extending toward the hold-down portion. The catches capture residual particles contained in the inflation gas when the gas deflected by the deflectors hit them.
