Abstract:
When a forming a bevel on a lens, the value of the bevel curve is calculated based on the value of the curve of the concave face, a reference axis of the bevel curve is determined to be in the same direction as the curvature of the concave face, a reference position on the peripheral edge of the lens in the first portion having the minimum thickness is determined based on the thickness of the first portion, a correction for the initial reference axis of the bevel curve is obtained, an angle of inclination from the direction of the initial reference axis of the bevel curve is obtained based on the correction and the locus of the bevel is determined based on the value of the bevel curve, the reference position and the angle of inclination.
Abstract:
An apparatus for processing a lens comprising a rotating tool for chamfering used for chamfering a peripheral portion of a spectacle lens, the apparatus comprising: a holding shaft supporting the lens and a lens-holding unit that rotates the holding shaft and displaces the lens towards the finishing unit based on data describing a shape of a lens frame and a rotation angle of the holding shaft; and a means for positioning in an axial direction that displaces the lens in an axial direction of the holding shaft; wherein the rotating tool for chamfering includes a rotating tool having a hemispherical shape, wherein a chamfering angle, or a chamfering amount, is set in accordance with a displacement in the axial direction of the means for positioning in an axial direction and a displacement of the lens-holding unit.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus enabling the placement of a mark on a lens at a desired position, easily and rapidly, without damaging the lens. The method comprising (1) the step of measuring a lens in which the optical properties and the reference position of the spectacle lens are measured and (2) the step of processing in which the lens is processed based on the optical information obtained in the step of measuring a lens. In the step of measuring a lens, the optical properties of the lens, such as the prism value, are measured using a desirable position selected as on the uncut lens as the position of measurement. An an optical reference position, such as the optical center, is calculated, a guiding mark is placed at the calculated position the relationship between the mark and the optical reference position is used in subsequent cut processing.
