Abstract:
In a process for a wireless network device in a first Neighbor Awareness Network device cluster (NAN cluster) to join a second NAN cluster, the wireless network device first discovers the second NAN cluster by means of scanning for networking signals from the second NAN cluster. If it determines, based on the discovery information, to join the second NAN cluster, the wireless network device sends an event message to other wireless network devices in the first NAN cluster to inform them that it is leaving the first NAN cluster to join the second NAN cluster. The event message also contains a cluster ID (CID) of the second NAN cluster. The wireless network device then leaves the first NAN cluster and joins the second NAN cluster.
Abstract:
A resource reservation method applied to a WiFi system includes: receiving, by a destination node, a resource reservation request sent by a source node, and sending a resource reservation response to the source node, where the resource reservation response includes a reservation time, and the resource reservation response is used to enable another node, which can monitor the resource reservation response, in the WiFi system to set a network allocation vector of the another node according to the reservation time; determining, by the destination node, whether data sent by the source node is received within a predetermined time; and if the data is not received, sending a resource release instruction, so that the another node initializes the network allocation vector of the another node, and re-contends for a resource, thereby solving a hidden node problem and also ensuring that a network resource is fully and properly used.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for discovering an access point, where the method includes: sending, by a station, a detection request message to an access point, where the detection request message carries filter condition information that includes transmission service quality of service (QoS) requirement information, and where the transmission service QoS requirement information is used by the access point to determine whether the filter condition is satisfied, and receiving, by the station, a detection response message sent by the access point when the access point determines that the filter condition is satisfied.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method for updating a group temporal key, a related apparatus and system. A method includes: An access point AP sets an updating period of a group temporal key GTK; the access point updates the GTK whenever the updating period of the GTK arrives; the access point receives a GTK request that is sent by a mobile station STA in an association list within a preset delay time period after arrival of the updating period of the GTK, where the association list records all mobile stations communicating with the access point, and the preset delay time period is shorter than the updating period of the GTK; and when the preset delay time period after the arrival of the updating period of the GTK arrives, the access point sends the updated GTK to the mobile station in the association list according to the GTK request.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method for a device to access a network, an access point, a network access device, and a system. The method includes: generating, by an access point, a broadcast frame, where the broadcast frame includes feature information of a network access device; and the feature information is used for indicating a feature of the network access device; and broadcasting, by the access point, the broadcast frame, so that a specific network access device initiates a network access procedure to the access point; where the specific network access device is a network access device which receives the broadcast frame and has the feature indicated by the feature information. By adopting the present invention, contention collisions among network access devices can be reduced through a manner of accessing a network in batches.
Abstract:
Embodiments provide a service discovery method. The method includes a first device, using an access point, sending a service discovery request to at least one second device connected to the access point, where the service discovery request is used to query, from the at least one second device, a service that the first device requests to query. The method also includes the first device receiving a service discovery response sent by the at least one second device, where the service discovery response is a response of the at least one second device to the service discovery request, and the service discovery response includes a service supported by the at least one second device.
