Embodiments of the present invention relate a method, an apparatus, and a system for assigning a tributary port number. The method includes: receiving a service path request message including a service type for establishing a service path used to bear a Lower Order ODU service; determining an OTU link; determining a free tributary slot resource in the OTU link; if a MSI bytes in the OTU link indicates a service type, assigning a tributary port number other than tributary port numbers used by Lower Order ODU services having the same type as the Lower Order ODU service in the OTU link; or if the MSI bytes in the OTU link does not indicate a service type, assigning a tributary port number other than tributary port numbers used by all types of Lower Order ODU services in the OTU link; and sending a service path acknowledgment message to the neighboring node.

The application provides a method for monitoring resource state in a communication network that includes a plurality of nodes. A node in the communication network determines whether a label switching path connection, which connects the node with an adjacent node, is established successfully. Based on a determination that the label switching path connection is not established successfully, the node determines whether a data plane resource state of the node and a control plane resource state of the node are consistent. Based on a determination that the data plane resource state of the node and the control plane resource state of the node are inconsistent, the node reports the inconsistency to a management plane of the node.

The application provides a method for monitoring resource state in a communication network that includes a plurality of nodes. A node in the communication network determines whether a label switching path connection, which connects the node with an adjacent node, is established successfully. Based on a determination that the label switching path connection is not established successfully, the node determines whether a data plane resource state of the node and a control plane resource state of the node are consistent. Based on a determination that the data plane resource state of the node and the control plane resource state of the node are inconsistent, the node reports the inconsistency to a management plane of the node.

A method, a system and a device for call processing are disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention. The method includes: obtaining, by a call initiator, address information of all or part of call managers in a network domain that processes a call, where the all or part of the call managers include a call manager that processes the call and is adjacent to the call initiator; sending, by the call initiator, a first call creating request message to an adjacent call manager according to the address information of the all or part of the call managers; and receiving, by the call initiator, a first call creating response message from the adjacent call manager. In the case that a service at a client side is required to be sent through multiple networks at a server side, inter-domain link selection and admission control may be implemented through section call processing.
