Abstract: A communication method and a communication apparatus. The method includes: sending first indication information to a terminal device, where the first indication information indicates one or more wake-up resources; receiving second indication information from a core network device, where the second indication information indicates to wake up the terminal device; determining a first wake-up resource based on the one or more wake-up resources; and sending wake-up information to the terminal device on the first wake-up resource, where the wake-up information is used to wake up the terminal device to receive a paging message or is used to wake up the terminal device to initiate random access. This can ensure that the terminal device can always monitor the wake-up information when there is wake-up signal coverage, and a problem of high-power consumption of the terminal device in a paging process is further resolved.

Abstract: This application relates to a configuration method and a communication apparatus. According to the configuration method of this application, a terminal device may determine a plurality of associated BWPs (namely, BWPs with a same SCS) in a channel bandwidth configured by the network device, to reduce a switching delay of the terminal device switching between two associated BWPs.

In the method, M amplitude shift keying modulation symbols included in a first signal sent by a signal sending device are the same as M amplitude shift keying modulation symbols included in a second signal. In addition, bandwidth occupied by a first frequency domain signal of the first signal in frequency domain is half of that occupied by a second frequency domain signal of the second signal in frequency domain. In addition, the first signal is one OFDM symbol in time domain, and duration of the M amplitude shift keying modulation symbols carried by the first signal is the same as that of the M amplitude shift keying modulation symbols carried by the second signal.
