摘要: This application provides a communication method and a device, to reduce power consumption of a terminal. In this application, a network device sends first signaling, where the first signaling indicates a length and/or a start time unit of each DRX cycle in a plurality of DRX cycles, and at least two DRX cycles in the plurality of DRX cycles have different lengths. The network device performs information transmission based on the plurality of determined DRX cycles. Therefore, power consumption of the terminal device can be reduced.

摘要: A control channel transmission method includes: sending a first message to a user equipment (UE), where the first message includes a set of control channel configuration information; determining, for the UE according to the set of control channel configuration information, control channel configuration information used to transmit a control channel; and transmitting the control channel according to the control channel configuration information that is determined for the UE and used to transmit the control channel. The control channel configuration information used to transmit the control channel may be determined for the user equipment, and the control channel is transmitted (that is, received or sent) according to the control channel configuration information. Therefore, when transmitting the control channel, the UE can directly transmit a control channel corresponding to the control channel configuration information.

One example method includes receiving, by a first network device, resource configuration assistance information, where the resource configuration assistance information is used to indicate a communication pattern of user equipment. The first network device can then send dedicated resource configuration information to the user equipment based on the resource configuration assistance information, where the dedicated resource configuration information is used by the user equipment in a radio resource control (RRC) non-connected state to access the first network device, and where the RRC non-connected state is an RRC idle state or an RRC inactive state. The first network device can then perform data transmission with the user equipment by using the dedicated resource configuration information.
