    Abstract: An objective of this application is to provide a SIM card switching method and apparatus, and an electronic device, so that the electronic device can quickly and accurately perform SIM card switching. The electronic device comprehensively determines, based on a use status of a radio frequency and a network connection status, whether a SIM card needs to be switched. When the radio frequency is used by a specific service, a network connection is temporarily abnormal. However, this temporarily abnormal network connection does not affect operation experience of a user. In this case, if the SIM card is switched, traffic of the SIM card is wasted, and time consumption during SIM card switching also increases a user operation delay. Consequently, determining whether to switch the SIM card only based on the network connection causes incorrect SIM card switching. In this application, incorrect SIM card switching can be avoided.

    Abstract: This application relates to the field of mobile communications, and discloses a terminal network connection control method, and a medium and a chip therefor. The control method in this application includes: A terminal detects that link quality of a data link of the terminal does not meet a specified quality condition. The terminal disconnects from a 4G network in an access network when the terminal does not activate a dual connectivity function and is not in a call state, and the terminal re-requests to connect to a 5G network and the 4G network in the access network when the terminal generates a data service requirement or when signaling triggers connection establishment. The terminal disconnects from a 5G network in a first 5G serving cell when the terminal activates a dual connectivity function, and re-establishes a connection to the 5G network in a second 5G serving cell.

    Abstract: This application discloses a call method and system, and a related apparatus. When a specific condition is met (for example, a callee fails to be paged), a network device forwards, to a VoIP server, a first call request to a target number, where the first call request is a call request initiated by a calling terminal to the target number, and the target number has been subscribed to a call forwarding service. Then the VoIP server parses a forwarding message from the network device to obtain a called number, searches, based on the called number, for the called terminal associated with the called number, and initiates a VoIP call to the called terminal, so that the callee in an out-of-service state (for example, there is no signal of an operator network or the callee is in an airplane mode) can still receive the call request from the caller.

    Abstract: A call hold method includes receiving a call hold request sent from a peer end; returning a 200 OK message to the peer end; receiving a user instruction for sending a call hold request to the peer end; determining whether an acknowledgement message based on the call hold request of the peer end is received from the peer end; and processing, based on an acknowledgement message determining result, the user instruction for sending a call hold request to the peer end. Accordingly, when a user has a call hold request, a mobile terminal first determines whether a procedure based on the call hold request of the peer end is completed at the peer end, and then determines to process the call hold request of the user, thereby preventing a call drop.
