Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, apparatus, and system for measurement for D2D communication, used to reduce blindness of measurement in a mechanism of D2D communication between terminals. The method in an embodiment of the present invention includes: sending directly or forwarding, by an access point to a wireless network management entity, a consulting message for D2D communication between terminals; requesting the wireless network management entity to calculate a performance evaluation parameter for D2D communication between the terminals, so as to evaluate feasibility of measurement for D2D communication between the terminals; determining, according to a received performance evaluation parameter for D2D communication between the terminals, to perform the measurement for D2D communication between the terminals, and performing measurement configuration for the terminals; and determining, according to a result of the measurement for D2D communication between the terminals, to perform D2D communication between the terminals.
