    摘要： An apparatus and method transmits a packet data symbol in a high-rate packet data (HRPD) mobile communication system for broadcasting service. A transmission processor generates a modulated symbol by encoding, interleaving and modulating a physical layer packet to be transmitted, and arranges the modulated symbol in a data tone. A tone inserter inserts a guard tone and a pilot tone into the data tone. A tone power allocator sets a different pilot-to-data tone power ratio according to a position of a slot, in which the packet data symbol is included, and allocates power according to the pilot-to-data tone power ratio. A transmitter transmits the packet data symbol.

    摘要： A method of providing state information of a mobile station in a mobile communication system which provides a data service between the mobile station and a base station and transmits information on a maximum data rate available for the mobile station and information on the amount of data stored in a buffer of the mobile station in a reverse direction, such that the base station determines a reverse data rate of the mobile station based on channel state information transmitted in the reverse direction. The mobile station determines information on the amount of data stored in its buffer based on information transmitted from the base station. The mobile station quantizes the determined information on the amount of data stored in the buffer, and transmits the quantized information to the base station.

    摘要： An apparatus and method transmits a packet data symbol in a high-rate packet data (HRPD) mobile communication system for broadcasting service.     摘要： An apparatus and method for providing a broadcasting service in a mobile communication system. The apparatus and method can transmit broadcasting service data using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in the mobile communication system. Broadcasting service data is encoded and modulated. The modulated data is demultiplexed into data streams corresponding to a number of orthogonal frequency subcarriers. The data streams are transformed using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The transformed data streams are multiplexed using OFDM. Information with a predetermined length placed in a last part of OFDM data is copied. The copied information is added as a cyclic prefix (CP) to a head part of the OFDM data, and OFDM symbols to be transmitted are generated. The generated OFDM symbols are multiplexed into a forward channel of the mobile communication system, and the multiplexed OFDM symbols are transmitted.
