A mobile terminal is also provided, which includes a display module configured to display a first screen image as an idle screen background, a wireless communication unit configured to receive weather information through a communication network, and a controller configured to overlay a semi-transparent filter effect corresponding to the received weather information onto the first screen image to create a second composite image, and then to display the second composite image.

摘要： A mobile terminal and a method of controlling the operation of the mobile terminal are provided. The method includes displaying a first image on a touch screen; and if a multi-touch input is detected from the first image and then a drag input for dragging the first image is detected, displaying the first image as being torn from one side of the touch screen and storing the first image. Therefore, it is possible to easily store an image displayed on the touch screen in response to a multi-touch input and thus to effectively use the image for various purposes.

摘要： A mobile terminal and message list displaying method therein are disclosed, by which a message item of a counterpart terminal (or an unchecked message) having sent an unchecked message may be displayed at a specific point on a message list regardless of an arrangement reference of message items.
