    Abstract: A liquid crystal display (“LCD”) device and method of driving the same capable of eliminating pressure induced light leakage includes a liquid crystal display comprising an LCD panel having a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines formed in a direction to intersect the plurality of gate lines, and a plurality of unit pixels respectively formed at intersection regions of the plurality of gate and data lines; a power circuit for generating a plurality of driving voltages for driving the LCD panel; a gate driving unit for driving the plurality of gate lines; a source driving unit for driving the plurality of data lines; and a timing control circuit for generating plurality of control signals for controlling the gate and source driving units, wherein the timing control circuit drives the LCD panel in a non-electric field state every predetermined frame.
