    Abstract: A temperature modulation assembly and a multi-layer retention mechanism for such a temperature therapy device are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a temperature modulation assembly for a temperature therapy device has a heat spreader and a mounting plate coupled to a bottom portion of a spacer, wherein the heat spreader is disposed between the mounting plate and the spacer. The temperature modulation assembly has a heatsink and a fan coupled to a top portion of the spacer, wherein the heatsink is disposed between the top portion of the spacer and the fan. The temperature modulation assembly further includes a heating and/or cooling device disposed within a central opening of the spacer, wherein the heating and/or cooling device is located between the heatsink and the heat spreader.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for providing vibration and temperature therapy via a therapy device is disclosed. According to one embodiment, a therapy device includes a pad comprising an adhesive layer configured to adhere to a skin surface of a user. The therapy device includes a control unit coupled to the pad. The control unit is configured to provide temperature therapy to the skin surface of the user and provide vibration therapy to the skin surface of the user. The pad includes a coupling connector configured to removably couple the control unit. The pad can include a heat generation module comprising a resistive wire and a heat spreader. The pad can include one or more electrical stimulation modules, wherein each electrical stimulation module comprises a conductor and a pad. The pad includes a temperature sensor coupled to the heat generation module. The adhesive layer can be coupled to the heat spreader.

    Abstract: A temperature therapy system and a method for temperature control for such a temperature therapy system are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a temperature therapy system has a retention mechanism and a plurality of temperature modulation systems attached to the retention mechanism, wherein each of the plurality of temperature modulation systems comprises a thermoelectric cooler. The wearable personal temperature therapy system may have a plurality of temperature sensors and a plurality of conductive flags, wherein each of the plurality of conductive flags is adhered to a respective thermoelectric cooler and a respective temperature sensor. The wearable personal temperature therapy system may have a control module electrically coupled to each of the plurality of temperature modulation systems and each of the plurality of temperature sensors, wherein each of the temperature modulation systems is controlled based on a control voltage applied to the thermoelectric cooler of the respective temperature modulation system.
