Disclosed herein are a circuit board and a method for testing devices embedded inside the circuit board. The circuit board according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an active device that is embedded inside the circuit board and includes at least one connection terminal; a passive device of which one terminal is electrically connected to one of the connection terminals of the active device and the other terminal is electrically connected to a signal pad on a surface of the circuit board; and a test pad that is electrically connected to the one terminal of the passive device. According to the present invention, even when the active device and the passive device are embedded inside the board, it is possible to effectively test a connection state of each device, thereby making it possible to easily determine whether defects occur in the circuit board.

The transflective type liquid crystal display panel according to an embodiment comprises a gate line on a substrate; a data line crossing the gate line to define a pixel region comprised of a transmitting part and a reflective part; a thin film transistor adjacent to a crossing of the gate and data lines; a first insulation film on a passivation film covering the thin film transistor; a reflective electrode in the transmitting part of the pixel region, for reflecting incident light; a pixel electrode formed on a second insulation film covering the reflective electrode, and connected to a drain electrode of the thin film transistor via a contact hole; and a coupling capacitor for matching a reflective curve of the reflective part with a transmitting curve of the transmitting part.

Disclosed herein is a method of testing a substrate. In the method, a first test terminal is connected to a first external circuit layer coupled to a first connection pad of a first active element included in a substrate, and a second test terminal is connected to a second external circuit layer coupled to a second connection pad of the first active element. Static electricity is applied through the first test terminal and a voltage drop of an electrostatic discharge protection circuit of the first active element is measured at the second test terminal, thus testing a status of a connection between the first active element and the external circuit layers. In the method, status of a connection of a connection circuit layer, a connection of an external circuit layer, a connection of a surface mount element, and a normal operation of the substrate is further tested.
