    Abstract: Methods, architectures, apparatuses and systems directed to active sensing in a wireless communications system (WCS) are provided. A method may include receiving, from a network element, information indicating an activation of a first of a plurality of sensing configurations, wherein the first sensing configuration and a second of a plurality of sensing configurations may include information indicating first and second resources of the WCS; transmitting a first sensing signal according to the first sensing configuration and using the first resources; performing first measurements related to the first sensing signal; transmitting, to the network element, information indicating a change from the first sensing configuration to the second configuration; receiving, from the network element, information indicating an acknowledgment of the change in the sensing configurations; transmitting a second sensing signal according to the second sensing configuration and using the second resources; and performing second measurements related to the second sensing signal.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, etc., directed to resource solicitation for Fog Radio Access Network (RAN) are disclosed herein. For some embodiments, a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may receive a Fog-Resource Solicitation, for example included in a paging message, for joining a Fog Radio Access Network (RAN) platform (e.g., soliciting resources). The WTRU may accept or decline the Fog-Resource Solicitation, for example, based on any of the solicited resources and the WTRU status. In case the WTRU accepts the fog-Resource Solicitation, the WTRU may establish a connection to the RAN for indicating an acceptance of the Fog-Resource Solicitation. In case the WTRU declines the Fog-Resource Solicitation, the WTRU may ignore the Fog-Resource Solicitation or respond to the Fog-Resource Solicitation by establishing a connection to the RAN, indicating a declination of the solicitation. For some embodiments, a WTRU may trigger sending a RRC-Connection Release Request to e.g., terminate the WTRU's connection to the network. The WTRU may transmit an information indicating the reasons why the WTRU is disconnecting from the network.

    Abstract: A method for transmitting system information on a PBCH is described herein. A transmission/reception point (TRP) may generate a concatenated master information block (MIB) transport block that includes information bits associated with system bandwidth information, timing information, system frame number (SFN), a beam sweeping configuration, and a control resource set (CORESET). The TRP may then attach at least 16 cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits to the concatenated MIB and then prioritize the concatenated MIB and the at least 16 CRC bits based on content. The TRP may then perform channel coding of the prioritized concatenated MIB and the at least 16 CRC bits to produce coded bits using at least one polar encoder with a coding rate that is less than ⅓, perform rate matching via repetition on the coded bits, and then transmit the rate matched, coded bits on the PBCH of a radio frame.

    Abstract: A WTRU may track parameters associated with the WTRU or target WTRUs. The parameters may be associated with positioning and/or sidelink communications. The WTRU may receive a configuration for transmission of reference signals to target WTRUs. The WTRU may transmit one or more reference signals on one or more configured sidelink resources. The WTRU may receive respective measurement report(s) from respective target WTRU(s) (e.g., a target WTRU may receive a reference signal transmitted by the WTRU and send an associated measurement report). The WTRU may be configured to send the received target WTRU measurement(s) to the network entity. The WTRU may send each of the received measurements. The WTRU may send the received measurement(s) if condition(s) are satisfied. For example, if a first measurement associated with a first measurement report from a first target WTRU exceeds a first threshold, the WTRU may send the first measurement to the network entity.
