Abstract:
An apparatus for electrical discharge machining modulation control includes an EDM module, an open-circuit voltage modulation module, a reference-voltage modulation and judgment module, a database, and a control unit. The control unit selects a reference voltage, and an open-circuit voltage corresponding to characteristics of a workpiece from the database, and generates and transmits a second control signal to the open-circuit voltage modulation module for modulating the open-circuit voltage, and a third control signal to the reference-voltage modulation and judgment module for modulating the reference voltage utilised to determine if the ignition happened. The open-circuit voltage modulation module receives a first control signal periodically transmitted from the control unit for providing the open-circuit voltage to the EDM module. The reference-voltage modulation and judgment module performs an arc voltage measurement procedure, then the control unit determines the open-circuit voltage and the reference voltage.
Abstract:
A matching recognition method for an NC program and corresponding cutting tools includes a step of using an imaging device to capture 2-dimensional images from the cutting tools mounted at the corresponding numbered tool holders on a machine tool, a step of based on the 2-dimensional images to extract outline feature points and assembling postures of cutting tools and converting into corresponding tool-assembling strings, a step of obtaining tool demands from each of the sequential machining steps in the NC program and converting into corresponding stepwise tool-demanding strings, and a step of performing matching upon the tool-assembling strings and the stepwise tool-demanding strings to generate and output corresponding step-and-tool matching strings. In addition, an associated matching recognition system is provided to include an imaging device, an image-processing module, a step-decoding module and a matching and comparing module.
Abstract:
A confirmation method for a tool of a machining process, applied to detect a health status of a tool changing device, includes following steps: obtaining tool data of a processing equipment from a storage unit of the tool through a first wireless transmission module; interpreting tool data, and converting an interpreting result into a tool assembling status data string; interpreting a tool acquirement corresponding to a process of a processing program, and converting the interpreting result into a process-related tool acquirement data string; and, comparing the tool assembling status data string with the process-related tool acquirement data string, and outputting a program and tool matching data string. In addition, a system for confirming a tool of a machining process is also provided.
